“Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. And they said among themselves, ‘Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?’ But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away — for it was very large. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. But he said to them, ‘Do not be alarmed. you seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. But go and tell His disciples — and Peter — that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.’ And they went out quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid. Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons” (Mark 16:1-9).

God: I love you anyway.

Jesus Himself said that the Old Testament or the Commandments weren’t done away with because of His death.

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets, I have come not to abolish them, but to fulfill them.” -Matthew 5:17

Without the Old Testament, Jesus is just a man claiming to be God.

How can we as human beings make our own rules based on our judgment when the God has given us the Bible?

“We destroy arguments and any lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God.” - 2 Corinthians 10:5

We can’t make decisions based on the fact that we want to be comfortable and keep in our own traditions.

“You have a fine way of setting aside the commandments of God to obey your own traditions.” - Mark 7:9

“You can’t pick and choose in these things, specializing in one of God’s law and ignoring others.” - James 2:10

The only way we can truly obey God is if we throw off what we are used to and allow Him to direct us. We can’t ignore the proddings of the Holy Spirit.

“But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is the veil taken away.” - 2 Corinthians 3:14

“The god of this world (satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” - 2 Corinthians 4:4

Will you let Christ enlighten you?

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
James 1:27 (via keeganmatthew)
permanentsunshine:

I need to remember this on a daily basis. Caring too much about what other people think has always been a struggle of mine.

"You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about Me,yet you refuse to come to Me that you may have life."
John 5:39, 40

Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear His voice and come out, those who have done good, to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment. (John 5:28, 29)

1st

Those who died in Christ will rise first when Jesus comes again and then, those who are still alive who lived lives acceptable to Christ will be caught up to meet Jesus in the air. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17).

These people will live with Christ for 1000 years. (Revelation 20:4)

2nd

Those who did not live according to Christ will not be risen until the end of the 1000 years. (Revelation 20:5)

When those are risen, satan will also be released for a while and he will gather them up and they will prepare for battle against Christ and His people. But when satan come up against the people of God, fire will come down from heaven and consume them and then satan will be thrown into the lake of fire and tormented for always. (Revelation 20: 7-10)

Its plain. No one goes to heaven before they die, no one goes to heaven or hell straightaway when they die, anyone who dies will stay in the ground until Jesus comes again. (Ecclesiastes 3:20)

There’s no place that any dead person can go to change to be able to get into heaven. When you die, that is it, you won’t know anything until Jesus comes again. Either you’re risen when He comes and you go back to Heaven with Him, or you don’t wake up until the 1000 years are over.

It’s simple.

Preach relationship, not religion.

So many people get the wrong impression of God because of these man-made religions. The bible says,

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. - James 1:27

Once you seek God, He will guide you to the fellowship that you need to be in.

That’s another thing, we forget what church is. Church is supposed to be where saints of God come together to fellowship, learn about and praise God together.

It’s shouldn’t be a one day a week meeting, the saints need to come together regularly, just like they did in the book of Acts.

Showing Christ to others means showing them who He is to you. Instead of presenting a set of rules to show your faith, present who loves you, who died for you.

Once you introduce the beauty of Christ to others, Christ will do the rest. Just plant the seed.

Strengthen your faith in Christ.

Understand that you rely on Christ for every thing. Every little thing.

When you accept your dependence on Him, you acknowledge Him more.

By acknowledging Him more, you deepen your relationship with Him.

From there, life can only get better.
